A delicate and exquisite white tea from the Himalayas. *Organic

Origin - Nepal

This white tea is grown on the foothills of the Himalayas at 1900m/6200ft of elevation, in the small town of Sakhejung, in the Ilam district. The tea grows in the midst of lush vegetation protected by towering mountains with Mt. Kanchanjunga, the third highest peak of the world as background. The owner of the tea estate and factory, Milan Kumera, is the only female tea entrepreneur in Nepal. She started making tea in her kitchen and selling it by the roadside and her skills and talent were soon recognized. She now owns the tea factory and is one of the leading organic certified specialty tea factories in Nepal.

Profile - The Himalayan terroir and harsh climates result in slow leaf growth and help create complex aromas. This Autumn-harvested tea contains a profusion of silvery buds and leaves that have been naturally dried. Through this long process, they have lightly oxidized into green-brown leaves. This mild yet surprisingly tannic tea’s liquor is golden. It offers a floral bouquet of honeysuckle and rose with finishing notes of peach and apple while keeping a vegetal body.
